Unique weapon upgrades and the Rogue


Heyyo, Entropy here. I originally started working on this project due to a class I had but.... I completely forgot about that lolol. The class was on building a game to WebGL and I kind of forgot about that... oops. There's a lot that's changed since the last update, even though I haven't worked on it a lot. 

The changes I've made in the past 5~ days:

  • New Character: Rogue 
    • Higher movement speed than the average character. (4 instead of 3) 
    • Comes at the cost of lower max health. (80 instead of 100)
    • Starting weapon: Shortbow (Shoots multiple arrows in quick succession.)
  • Enemy Waves
    • Added an extendable and easily customizable wave system (hopefully). 
    • Added weighted spawn chances. 
    • Added easy swapping of wave lengths using a dropdown menu. 
  • UI / UX 
    • Added Main Menu
    • Added Fade in/out animation. (Sometimes leaves a strip on the bottom that only appears in the WebGL build.) 
    • Character selection.
  • Weapons / Tools 
    • Gave all equipment unique upgrades per level. (Basically just like Vampire Survivors.) 
    • Changed Boomerang Axe => Spinning Axe, also changed its projectile to no longer have infinite pierce. 
    • Changed Cutlass to allow striking the same enemy multiple times if it spins fast enough. 
  • Enemies
    • Added an explosive enemy that explodes on death. 
    • Added armored version of the normal skeleton.


Currently known bugs:

  • Player's hitbox is still triggered and flashes red but takes no damage after an enemy has died. 
  • If weapon's hitboxes are perfectly stacked on top of each other, picking one up picks them ALL up. 
  • There's no way to return to the main menu after starting the game. 

Next update goals:

  • Add in a bunch of new weapons and tools
  • Add in more UX


    • Display player's stats while in game. 
    • Map selection panel. 
  • Add in more enemies
    • Skeleton King (BOSS) 
      • Spawns Royal Guards every so often. 
      • High survivability. 
    • Royal Guards (ELITE)  
      • High survivability
    • Skeleton Archer (NORMAL) 
      • Shoots at the player from a distance. (Projectiles can be destroyed) 
    • Skeleton Mage (RARE) 
      • Summons groups of normal skeletons. 
      • Fires slow homing bolts. (Can be destroyed.)
